Aadhaar Voter ID Link: Aadhaar, voter ID card link case has reached the court. The opposition approached the Supreme Court raising questions about the government’s intention. But the apex court asked the concerned petitioner to approach the Delhi High Court. On the other hand, Maharashtra Chief Election Commissioner Shrikant Deshpande said that the Election Commission will start a campaign to link the voter ID card with Aadhaar from August 1. He said that this is being done to prevent fake votes. It is said that bogus voter ID cards can be canceled by linking voter ID and Aadhaar cards. By doing this, rigging in elections will be stopped.

This linking can also be done through Election Commission Porter run by various State Govt. First go to the state election commission portal. Enter your Voter ID number in the portal. Enter your name, date of birth etc. other details and then enter your Aadhaar number. OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP for Aadhaar verification. Registration number is provided to check Aadhaar voter id linking status.

You need to send a message from your registered mobile number. Send this message to 166 or 51969. The message format will be: ECLINK Space EPIC Number Space Aadhaar Number
Aadhaar Voter ID Linking by phone
Government of India has set up several call centers in different states of the country to link Aadhaar Voter ID cards. Voters should call 1950 number and give their Voter ID details along with Aadhaar number. This will link the two documents. Once your Aadhaar voter ID linking is complete.. you will get a message on the mobile phone.
